A new way to provide aid.
Reach Out Los Angeles collects data on many government aid programs, as well as the daily lives of unhoused Angelenos. Our surveys are conducted purely through conversation, implementing Artificial Intelligence tools that allow for quantitative and qualitative data. We get statistics, stories, even direct quotes through a simple 5 minute conversation. With this data, we can provide personalized aid, statistics to fight and introduce new budgets and legislation, and even publish studies through universities. We truly believe our data plays a major role in how districts decide to use discretionary funds.
For decades the City of Los Angeles has created organizations and efforts to provide housing, WASH services, and even employment support. Never have we seriously taken the opinions and input of the people actually receiving these services. At Reach Out, we hope to change that. Every person deserves to be seen, heard, and supported in a way that respects their unique circumstances. By combining direct aid with informed guidance, we work to create lasting change.
Reach Out Los Angeles is a youth-led organization. Every single one of our surveys has been conducted by a high school student and has had volunteers from five different high schools throughout Los Angeles.
